Day 5, what happened to 3 & 4?

So day 3 was another day where they worked really hard with not much to see. They got the drain trough cut into the concrete that we are keeping and they prepped more of the area to be ready for laying the new concrete paths and to plant the tree.

Day 4 they got the concrete path molds for the concrete laid out and they got the new tree planted! We haven't named her yet. She is super pretty, her trunk has a soft orange color. She is a Spring Snow Crabapple. I have included a photo of a full-grown one here, photo from Happy Trees, (best name ever).

Now to what I'm really excited about, today's addition of the concrete paths! This is exciting because in a way these are the trunk of the garden. Also we added an expansion to the path already along the house so that we will have an area to place a seat of some kind. We are looking at a glider made from recycled plastic. So excited to have a beautiful place to sit and chill with The Husbeast and people-watch.

Things should be moving even faster now as we get into planting and rock placement etc. *excited happy dance* We know that the garden will look the very best next year once plants have gotten really established but I think it will still be lovely this year too.
