I started to call this a cover but then I had a vision of a giant bag or cozy over the entire Swiffer. What it actually is, is a replacement for the disposable wet mop pads. I love my Swiffer but have never been thrilled with knowing all those pads ship off to a landfill. On top of that I am a fan of saving some cash and reusable covers fit the bill!
This one is crochet, there is a knit version coming. While I won't be able to do two versions of every pattern I make I do want to do my best to at least make some accessible to stitchers that only do one or the other.
I like how tough and absorbent they are. I also like that they can just be tossed right in with my other cleaning rags for a wash. Easy care is always a plus for me. To get that kind of result I do highly recommend nice tough cotton, like Lily Sugar n' Cream. I list some other choices in the pattern too. The only thing you don't want is an acrylic yarn as that can't absorb water, and wool will either felt or resist the water and therefore the dirt too.
So the pdf is up here and listed on Ravelry too of course! I hope you all enjoy it!
